As the manager of all finance and accounting functions at Circles, Hugh finds one of his most significant accomplishments has been in helping the company become profitable.

“People and passion” wow Hugh. “The people at Circles thrive on success and do not accept anything else. Their passion comes in many forms, but there is certainly a consistent level of energy that you will find within the office.” Hugh maintains his personal level of passion by playing with his kids, skiing, golfing, playing tennis, fly-fishing, mountain biking and anything else that involves fun.

Hugh has 15 years of finance and financial services experience in a variety of management roles. Most recently Hugh was at edu.com where he ran the Financial Services group, developing strategy, managing the P&L, and driving partner selection, negotiation and implementation.

The key word within Circles’ mission is “everyday,” according to Hugh. This is because “it is not just about the incredible once-in-a-lifetime type things” that we do for each other or our customers. It is about taking what aspects of everyday life already exist and adding value to them.

Hugh holds a BA in History from Amherst College and a joint MBA/Masters in Accounting from Northeastern University.
