Nicolas Vegas
Nicolas Vegas became CEO of Circles in 2012 following a stellar career in Motivation Solutions at Sodexo. Prior to joining Sodexo in 1998, Nicolas was vice-president of Financorp Grupo Financiero and before that a management consultant at Bain & Company in Dallas. Out of college, he also worked in marketing and brand management at Seagram Venezuela. Under Nicolas's leadership, Motivation Solutions in Venezuela became one of the top three global Sodexo Motivations Solutions units in terms of growth, market share, profitability and employee engagement.
A native of Venezuela, Nicolas earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Syracuse University and an MBA from Sloan School of Management at MIT. Nicolas was a professor of corporate finance and strategic planning at the Universidad Católica Andrés Bello in Caracas from 1993 to 1997. He has done extensive volunteer work as a board member for Junior Achievement and the Boys Scouts in Venezuela. In addition he has held board level responsibilities in the Caracas Chamber of Commerce, and a series of local companies in Venezuela.
In his free time, Nicolas is an avid reader and enjoys playing tennis and spending time outdoors with his family. Nicolas is married with five children.
